
A 5-year-old boy riding a bicycle was seriously injured today (Sunday) when he was hit by a bus on Ezra Street and the corner of Rabbi Kahaneman in Bnei Brak - and was trapped under it.
Rescue forces rescued him while he was unconscious and suffering from injuries to his abdomen and limbs, and evacuated him to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer. .
Rescue Chairman Oshi Shlomowitz and rescuers Shmuel Rogoznitzky and Yossi Rotenstein said: "We arrived at the scene of a serious car accident, where we found a cyclist, a 5-year-old boy, unconscious with multiple systemic injuries, trapped under a bus after being hit by it while riding.
""We provided him with initial medical treatment, including immobilization and dressings, and after he was rescued, we evacuated him in serious condition for further treatment in the trauma room at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.""
Akiva Kaufman, Israel Sell and Nachman Aharoni, members of the United Hatzalah: "We were informed at the scene that he was hit by the bus while riding and was trapped under it. Immediately after his rescue, we provided him with medical treatment at the scene and he was taken to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer suffering from injuries to his head and limbs and his condition is described as moderate.".
