Former media consultant Eli Feldstein sparked a political storm following a new revelation about what happened in the inner chambers of the ruling elite during the first days of the war.
Feldstein claims that shortly after the events of October 7, he was present in the Prime Minister's room when Benjamin Netanyahu National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was warned.
""A little after October 7th, I was in the prime minister's room when he was warned about Itamar Ben-Gvir and the dangers and risks that this man brings with him," Feldstein wrote.
According to him, "It worked partially. He didn't enter the small cabinet for a very long time.".
Feldstein did not specify in the published statements who were the individuals who warned Netanyahu, what exactly was said in that conversation, or what dangers and risks were involved.
Feldstein's comments came in response to criticism made by the commentator Fellow Towards Ben Gvir in his weekly column in 'Israel Hayom'. Segal pointed out what he sees as a gap between the crime figures during Ben Gvir's tenure and the political power of the chairman of Otzma Yehudit - and stated that another government with Ben Gvir would be a disaster.
The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, He responded: "Indeed, after October 7th I was excluded from the limited cabinet, as a result of the boycott that Eisenkot and Gantz imposed on me, as a condition for their joining.".
Only after they left did I join the cabinet. And, God bless me, I played a significant role in influencing the change in the security perception since the pair of leftists who boycotted me stopped torpedoing from within: we captured Rafah and the Philadelphia axis, we eliminated Nasrallah, Operation Beepers, the occupation of the security strip in Lebanon, Operation Am Kalavi, Roar of the Lion, and on and on.
When Eisenkot was inside, he demanded an end to the war and submission to all of Hamas's conditions. If he had been in office, Sinwar would still be alive today, controlling all of Gaza, our prisons would be empty of all terrorists, Nasrallah is alive, and Radwan's forces are sitting on the fences of the northern settlements.
"And the same elements on the right now want the government instead of Ben Gvir!"
