An embarrassing moment occurred today (Thursday) behind the scenes of Channel 12: A researcher for the 'Morning News' team approached comedian and 'Eretz Nehederet' star Eli Finish and suggested that his mother participate in a new segment on the program.
There was just one small problem: Finish's mother died of cancer in July 1984, 42 years ago, when he was only nine years old.
The message Finish received read: "Hi Eli, good morning, how are you? Hadar from Keshet 12's morning news. We have a new corner called 'Mother', where a picture of a celebrity's mother is shown, and the audience and the panel have to guess, and then the mother comes up for a short, light, and cute interview. Is this something that might interest your mother today?""

Finish, who posted a screenshot of the conversation on his Instagram account, replied: "Hi, Hadar. My mother passed away 42 years ago.".
However, he chose to address the event with humor: "But I'm sure she would have been happy to participate. She always loved the 12 o'clock morning news.".
