A sad end to the search for Katriel Nachman Keinan, 24, a Chabad follower from Beit Shemesh, who was missing for 10 days.
His body was found today (Thursday) in the Swiss Forest area of Tiberias. After identification, it was determined that it was Keenan, who had been searched for since his disappearance.
Keenan was last seen on August 10, around 6:00 PM, in the area of Guy Beach on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, while on his way to Safed.
Since then, contact with him has been cut off and his traces have disappeared.
Today at 1:40 PM, the ZAKA hotline received a report of a body found in the Switzerland Forest area in Tiberias. ZAKA Northern District volunteers were called to the scene, and after identification operations, it was determined that it was a nest.
His body was found in a complex terrain near a cliff. ZAKA volunteers from the Northern District are working at the scene together with rescue forces to recover the body and treat the deceased with dignity.
Shai Levy, head of the Northern District ZAKA team at the scene: "This is a very complex scene in difficult terrain near a cliff." According to him, the terrain conditions require joint activity with the rescue forces.
""After confirmation was received that this was a missing person for whom searches were conducted, we are working together with the rescue forces to recover the body from the area and to treat the deceased with dignity.".

The family reported:
""With a broken, painful and tearful heart, we announce with great sadness the passing of the late Katriel Nachman Keinan, a resident of Beit Shemesh, who, after extensive searches with the help of all parties, was unfortunately found today in the Swiss Forest near the Guy beach in Tiberias, lifeless, and he was 24 years old.
Nachman was a Hasidic young man, humble, a man of truth, connected to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, kind and helpful to everyone.
Nachman has been missing for a week and a half - since last Monday in the Tiberias area, and we, his close family and friends, together with Chabad Hasidim and the emergency and security forces, have done everything in our power to search for him everywhere possible until the bitter and painful end.
Thank you to everyone who helped and assisted, we appreciate it very much.
An announcement will be made regarding the funeral date.".
