Rabbis from the Medical Center's Kashrut Committee toured Haslet's production line, in conjunction with the launch of Mehadrin menus from Mehadrin and a comprehensive kashrut upgrade
Hadassah Medical Center continues to lead a dramatic and comprehensive change in the standard of kashrut training in all hospital departments, a move designed to provide peace of mind and tranquility to hospitalized patients and their families.
Recently, the deployment of an elegant kosher system in the maternity wards of the medical center was completed, ensuring that all buffet menus served in these departments are under the strict supervision of the Badatz Eda Haredi and the Badatz Kehites.
The move is intended to ensure that mothers who are careful about what they eat, whether mild or severe, can focus on their recovery with complete confidence in the level of kosherness of the food served to them throughout their hospitalization period - strictly from the strictest of strictest.
The current upgrade focuses on selecting the most meticulous raw materials, while at the same time deepening work methods and thorough supervision within all of the medical center's kitchens.
As part of this upgrade momentum, the supervision system has expanded significantly and now includes a large team of supervisors, rabbis, and God-fearing people, who accompany the entire cooking chain. The supervisors themselves perform the most halachically sensitive tasks, including selecting legumes and washing leafy vegetables, while fully adhering to Jewish cooking.
As part of establishing these standards, the rabbis of Hadassah's Kashrut Committee recently conducted a professional and comprehensive tour of the Hasalt company's production line, which operates under the supervision of the Haredi Badatz. The tour was intended to ensure a continuous supply of kosher leafy vegetables and to directly supervise the growing, sorting, and packaging processes of the agricultural produce that arrives daily at the medical center's kitchens.

This is an important upgrade to the kashrut training system that is receiving great appreciation and investment from the medical center's management.
In addition to the extensive activity in the kitchens, Hadassah management is currently working on an important infrastructure project, which includes writing and preparing comprehensive halachic guides for hospitalized patients. These guides deal with complex medical and halachic issues, including the laws of family purity and various medical halachic challenges that arise during the hospitalization period.
The contents of the guides are written in continuous and in-depth consultation with Jewish elders, and in partnership with senior Hadassah physicians, with the aim of providing a qualified halakhic response in real time.
In addition, the medical center operates a dedicated telephone information line at 02-6777699, which provides up-to-date information on prayer times, synagogue locations, and instructions for staying on Shabbat and holidays.
The line also offers precise guidance for priests regarding the methods of access they are allowed at medical centers.
