Despite the persecution of Torah students: MK Uri Maklev visited today (Thursday), with the opening of 'Zman Elal', the 'Mevtser HaTorah' yeshiva in Ofakim.
The yeshiva, headed by Rabbi Fern, opened the first class of Shiur A students today.
In his remarks to the young men, Maklev said: "Seeing the Torah students alive, existing, and growing stronger is what gives us the strength to stand against all trials. The voice of the Torah does not cease, but grows stronger.".
Later, Maklev also participated in the opening of the Elul time at the 'Shechar Shechir' yeshiva in Netivot, headed by a member of the Council of Torah Scholars, the Grac Levi, which is also in a period of prosperity and significantly expanded the number of benches in the Beit Midrash this year.
