While the news of the destruction caused by the great fire on Shabbat night, which consumed the synagogue and the central hospitality complex near the birthplace of the founder of Chabad Hasidism in Haditch, Ukraine, continues to be the "talk of the day" among the Haredi public - photos arriving from the scene this morning show the extensive destruction.

Chabad emissary and rabbi of Haditz, Rabbi Shneur Zalman Deitsch, today (Sunday) shared new details about what happened.

According to him, it was only by a miracle that no one was injured. A large group of guests from Kiev were staying at the complex at the time, spending Shabbat near Zion, as do many groups from Ukraine, who hold special seminars at the complex throughout the year.

The guests, with great dedication, rescued the four Torah scrolls from the synagogue before it became a fire-torn place.

"We are receiving hundreds of calls of support and encouragement from every corner of the world. In the coming days we will launch a Bezeq campaign to restore the terrible ruins and build a new compound. It will take time and a lot of work, along with huge expenses, but with the help of God, 'great will be the glory of this house' - the second house will be greater than the first.

""The complex that was destroyed was large and magnificent and was suitable for simultaneously receiving hundreds of guests. The one that was renovated and built now, with God's help, will be even larger.".
