A 17-year-old boy collapsed last night and lost consciousness at the Chabad yeshiva on Hasem Street in Rehovot.
Emergency medical teams called to the scene found him without a pulse and not breathing, and immediately began life-saving measures, which included chest compressions and administering electric shocks using a defibrillator - until the pulse returned.
Yonatan Sharabi, Katriel Cohen and Ayela Yitzhaki, members of the United Hatzalah, said that they found the boy completely unconscious.
Medics David Moshe Teitelbaum and Benny Lamdan added that after initial stabilization in the field, the young man was urgently evacuated by intensive care vehicle to the shock room at the Kaplan Medical Center in the city, with medical teams continuing CPR operations during the trip.
The boy's condition continues to be difficult and complex.
His family and acquaintances at the yeshiva are asking the general public to read chapters of Psalms and pray for his recovery.
His name for prayer: Ziv Moshe ben Merav for complete recovery among the rest of the sick of Israel.
