Two protests will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon due to the arrest of Haredi 'renegades': Gur Hasidim are expected to hold a protest rally near Prison 10, the military prison near Beit Lid, in protest of the arrest of Gur Hasidim, who was arrested when he arrived to arrange an exemption at the draft office - arrested and imprisoned.
The protest in front of Prison 10 will be led by the sons of the Rebbe and the Hasidic rabbis. According to the plan, thousands, including avrechim and young men of bar mitzvah age, will pray in front of the prison gates for a mincha prayer, there will be a recitation of Psalms, and the rabbis will give speeches.
Additional protests will take place after the rabbi Aviel Cohen from Netivot, who was arrested yesterday at the Gilat intersection near Ofakim, was sentenced today to 14 days in prison in the military prison, for the crime of studying Torah.
An appeal was filed against the decision.
Following the military court's decision, MK Moshe Aboutbul called the child's mother and told her that "the entire Torah world stands by her son's side" and that he, along with his Shas faction members, are committed to doing everything for her son and his family.
Following his arrest, the "Faction Within the Faction," led by Rabbi Friedman, announced protests that will be held tomorrow in several locations across the country.
