Protesters from the Jerusalem faction blocked the main traffic route at the entrance to Jerusalem this evening (Monday) - disrupting public order.

According to the police, an IDF soldier wearing a kippah who got off a bus was surrounded and attacked by rioters.

Police forces, including Jerusalem Police, who recognized what was happening, used crowd-dispersal measures and rescued the soldier to a safe place - from where he continued on his way.

The police say that Jerusalem District police and Border Guard soldiers are operating at the scene, using all available means to restore order and open the road to the public.
