Boaz Golan, a senior Channel 14 executive, responded this morning (Friday) to Professor Moshe Cohen's decision to leave the "Patriots" program and went on the offensive.
""Adon Moshe Cohen to her," Golan wrote on his X account. "We never spit on the place you drank from. Channel 14 gave you the stage. We had never heard of you before. Learn to respect the place, which is bigger than all of us.".
Golan also addressed the circumstances of Moshe Cohen's departure from Elia. "The story of the petition is really not the story in front of you. I brought up the idea of sanctions on behalf of Trump against the attorney general on the air long before you. That's not the event. Ego, honor games and megalomania - that's not us. Cheat yourself and then cheat others.".
Golan also referred to the channel's ratings data after the departure - and wrote: "Your words about the ratings on 'The Collapse' are nonsense and have nothing to do with you. Look at this morning's data about last night and as far as I remember - you didn't appear on 'The Patriots' last night. The ratings have nothing to do with you.".
Yesterday, Channel 14 issued an unusual announcement: "For about three years now, Prof. Moshe Cohen has been received by the channel's staff with love and affection and given a platform to voice his opinions completely freely.
""After Cohen-Elia began using the channel to raise funds, it was made clear to him that this was against the rules - and he decided to leave. We wish him success in the future.".
