The search efforts for 17-year-old Avraham Yeshayahu Spiegel, who has been missing since last Friday on Sanz Beach in Netanya, continue today (Thursday) - this is the seventh day in a row.
Throughout the night and morning, ZAKA volunteers operated at the scene, conducting intensive foot searches along the coastline, with an emphasis on the water line, while integrating additional forces from various areas who arrived to reinforce the local team.
At sunrise, ZAKA's special units - the diver unit, the drone unit and the sea vehicles - returned for extensive scans in the depths of the sea and from the air, in accordance with the analysis of the currents and terrain conditions, with the search sector being continuously adjusted.
Haim Otmazgin, commander of the ZAKA special units, who has been on the scene continuously since the beginning of the incident, says: "We have been here for seven days in a row, not leaving the scene and not giving up for a moment. Even in complex conditions and rough seas, we continue to turn over every stone, from the shore to the depths of the sea, until we manage to bring the news to the family. This is our mission, and we will not stop until we complete it.“
The forces are operating in full coordination with the Israel Police, the Maritime Police, and the Lehava Unit - the elite fire and rescue unit, while activating all operational means, with the aim of locating the missing person and bringing the incident to an end.
