Captivity survivor Eli-Ha Cohen is expected to undergo foot surgery today (Thursday), with the goal of allowing him to stand under the canopy and break the glass in about four months.
Cohen addressed the public and asked for prayers for the success of the medical procedure.
In his address, he added: "Pray that the surgery goes smoothly and that I will be able to stand under the canopy and break the glass. Elia Ben Sigalit.".
Captivity survivor Elia Cohen was released as part of the second hostage deal in February 2025. He was kidnapped from the Nuba party where he was with his partner Ziv Aboud. Only when he was released did he discover that she had managed to survive the massacre and fought for him throughout the long months he was in captivity.
